DBT Skills Training Groups are psychoeducational groups in which skills are taught in the areas of: Mindfulness; Emotion Regulation; Distress Tolerance; and Interpersonal Effectiveness. (see description of DBT for more details about the 5 Skills Modules). These therapy counseling groups follow a set agenda in which new information is taught weekly and homework and skills practice is assigned. The focus of this group is teaching effective skill use for regulating emotions, changing destructive patterns of thinking and behavior, improving relationship skills, and building the life you desire.
